Akbar Ganji an Iranian journalist, writer and political activist won 2007 John Humphery Freedom Award. He recently was in Montreal and had an speech at McGill university, where I took these few shots.

Interesting experiment with the choice of focus although I have to admit that I am not sure what message it conveys. That's probably a good thing because it gives me something to think about.

Very good! The softness of the portrait and his warm expression contrast with the ardness of the equipment in front.
